Soft soled toddler shoes

Have just returned from Clarks, very despondent. DS is nearly 3 and has a very slight gross motor delay, so although enthusiastic, lacks skill on his feet. He's just been measured as a 6F and all the shoes Clarks could offer me had very inflexible soles. I pointed out some lovely soft canvas shoes and was told they were for cruising babies... we have a pair at home half a size smaller ffs.

Can anyone recommend somewhere for ergonomic, nice looking soft soled shoes? We do a lot of walking outside so they do still need to be rubber.

Do they no longer do Doodles? Startrite might be worth a try too.
