omg i have just told another child off

when walking ds home from school another boy in year 6 pulled the hair and pushed another boy. I said "you should not behave like that, it is unacceptable and it is being a horrible little boy" ... or something like that

I did this on the spur of the moment as ds is always coming home in tears after name calling etc

DS also said the other boy had been kicking and name calling.

but now realise that i will probably get ds in more trouble plus the mother of the boy concerned will probably have a go at me.

Did i do the wrong thing?

I would have said something too. Surely other mother won't have a go? He's not going to tell her what he was doing that prompted you to say it is he! If he does & he was mine I'd say "well done her, you deserved it".

well I would have told him off - wouldn't have mentioned the 'horrible boy' bit, as it smacks of name calling.

yes i agree should not have said horrible boy but kind of came out on spur of moment - feel quite bad about that
