Time to drop nap 2.5yrs?

We decided just over a month ago to remove 2.5yr old DDs dummy (dentist advice, as well as avoiding the drama when DD 2 arrives in the next couple of weeks).

Prior to this, DD would sleep 1-3hrs at lunchtime and 11/12hrs overnight. No problems going down at all. Since dummy-gate, she won't sleep at lunch time at all (unless in the car), and if she does, she's often awake in her room for hours past bedtime, usually not falling asleep till 9pm or so. (Bedtime is 7pm).

While I know this could be her just ready to give up her nap, I find it hard to believe that someone who's gone from a total of 12-15hrs sleep per day can suddenly manage on 9/10hrs instead.

Her behaviour has gone downhill lately (biting/hitting), but I'm not sure if this is down to sleep or DD2's imminent arrival.

Any advice? The dummy's not going back!!

Don't know what to suggest about that one. What does she do if you put her down for a nap? Have you tried going in your bed together and seeing if she falls asleep?
