Hi there. 5 months pregnant with my first baby. Recently had to scour the all night petrol stations looking for a cough syrup for me that was suitable in pregnancy!! This got me thinking that I do not want to be in a similar position once our baby is born. So advice please - what would you recommend stocking a suitable first aid kit for the first twelve months of our baby's life with? Thanks for the advice.

This is what I have

Paracetamol susp
Brufen susp
(you don't have to buy branded either, supermarket own brands are just as effective just make sure they are age appropriate.)
Karvol
Vicks chest rub
Medised

I don't tend to use cough syrups but you could have those in hand if you wanted just make sure again they are age appropriate

Arnica for bumps if baby is an early walker
Rehydration powder to be mixed in with water in case of a severe vomiting and runs (not even going to attempt to spell the d word)
