Dressing Baby

I'm a new mum & my little girl is 10 weeks old. At the minute I'm struggling with feeling comfortable in what to dress baby in. In weather like it was yesterday so warm, what would you dress baby in? I would usually put her in a vest + babygrow and cardigan but is this too much?

my DD2 is 5 weeks. indoors she has a vest and baby gro. before yesterday to go outside in pram I would also put warm fleece lined cardigan on her+ blanket as it was warm yesterday she had a thin cotton cardigan instead and I took off blanket as she seemed warm

The rule normally is one more layer than what you would wear

Vest, babygro for indoors. A Cardiff and blanket onto for outdoors.

I hated this with my DS, he was born in January so we had the same with the cold. Go with your gut, the general rule is one more layer than us but, just like adults, babies feel the temperatures differently. My boys are both very warm naturally so tend to be ok wearing similar to me and DH. If DS2 (11 months) is in the pram I put another layer on him as he will be colder as he's not walking and running around like us.

I would say, for warm weather like we're currently having (high teens) for a 10 week old a short sleeved vest and then an outfit over would be fine. (e.g. romper, dress and leggings, sleep suit) you can always take a cardi out with you if you're worried she'll get cold. Feel her back in between her shoulders and her chest, if she's warm she's fine. Don't go just by hands and feet, they're always cold!
