I'm visiting the in laws for the night and DD 21weeks has just woke up in a horrid state, a hacking cough and struggling to breath! I've managed to calm her down as I thought she was a bit bunged up so used her saline spray a few times and got her to drink some water! I've also given her a dose of calpol.
She is currently asleep propped up slightly on my legs and is breathing loads loads better back to normal.
Should I take her to the ooh/a&e in the morning or get a GP appointment on Monday morning?
I'm not getting any sleep tonight with worry but I don't think it warrants an ambulance as her breathing etc is back to normal.

I hope she is ok! I'd definitely ring 111 (the non emergency NHS line) at any point if you don't feel sure. I have called before about my baby and they are lovely and never make you feel bad for phoning. They can arrange for you to go to OOH GP if they think you need to.
Hope you're ok. It's horrible when babies are poorly.

Thank you for replying I'm scared to sleep, her breathing is completely back to normal now but when I try and lie her flat she wakes up and starts to cry.
My in laws are very elderly and poorly themselves so I don't want to worry/bother them so if I rang 111 and they told me to go to hospital I'd have to wake them which could then set their health problems spiralling downwards. I don't drive and haven't a clue where the nearest a&e is, my DP is back at home too.
Why did I think a spur of the moment trip would be a fun idea???

She's not too bad very whiny but that might because she's not been able to get any decent naps in for one thing or another
