Advice needed as baby will not feed well in the day

Hello,

I am in need advice about my 4 month olds feeding.

In the last week he has not been feeding well in the day and has been waking more frequently at night and draining the bottles.

I offer him 6oz feeds at:

7am
10:30am
1:00 - 1:30pm
3:30pm
5:30pm (if he didn't take much at 3:30pm feed)
6:45pm (bedtime)

He takes the full 6oz at bedtime and when he wakes in the night but I am lucky to get him to take more than 3oz for all the other day feeds.

Am I best extending the gap between feeds or should I try the opposite and offer him smaller amounts more frequently?

Also would it be an idea to reduce the night time bottles to 5oz to see if he will take more in the day?

Any advice is appreciated, I'm so frustrated!!

Thanks

Xxx

If it was me I would try both. So start by increasing time between bottles to 4 hours. So say 7.30, 11.30, 3.30 and bedtime and then your night feed. If he wakes before midnight full feed, if after half feed. Hopefully if you stretch the time between feeds he will be ready for it and will take more. These are the times I fed my lo at that age and I also woke him at 10.30 pm for a dream feed to see him through to the morning.
