Expressing milk

Hi would like to express milk but am only getting like 1oz at a time. Which is not enough to sustain for a whole day, anyone got any motherly tips I'm an emotional wreck

You sound very anxious you poor thing! The answer is not to give formula or express though - the best way to establish breastfeeding is to feed, feed, feed!

My doctor once said that paediatrics is very simple - if there's enough coming out the bottom there's enough going in the top! As long as your baby is having wet nappies throughout the day with the odd dirty one they're drinking well. Obviously weight needs to be checked as well, your HV will help you there.
