Freezing and heating purees for weaning

Hi,

Just started weaning using purees and am batch preparing as back at work soon. I've read that once defrosted purees need to be heated up to piping hot and cooled - is this the case with fruit? Just seems odd to do this with Apple or mango especially as that wasn't cooked in the first place.
Has anyone asked a HV about this?
Thanks in advance

I haven't asked a HV, but you don't need to heat fruit! That advice is just for meat/fish or anything that could cause food poisoning. The same way that you would properly heat any frozen food that contained meat or fish.
