Why do toddlers do silly things when visitors are around?

DS1 is 20 months and tends to do silly things when visitors are round... it really does show me up lol.

Today he decided to snatch the visitors daughter drink and plate and he also decided to climb on furniture which he has been doing for at least 6 months with ease but decides to fall.

Always up to mischief when I leave me room and DH Is busy with the guests and I was busy with DS2!

They want attention, and will do whatever gets a reaction. If you don't like the behaviour sometimes it's best to ignore it.
