I only have two in my hoard as I personally find them not that absorbant.
I have just been perusing nappylady where they are raved about.
I do not use conditioner and I usually line dry them.
How the monkeys do you use them overnight?! lol
Any ideas?

I find them OK but need boosting if going to be on boy for more than an hour or two. I use microfibre cloths or the boosters I got with other nappies, I also use home cut flease liners in them. I tend not to use them over night, prefer little lamb, nappy nation or boosted bumble.
Handy to keep one in the change bag as they don't need a nippa. so it doesn't matter what I'm changing him out of IYSWIM.
They do dry quite quick, I can dry up to 4 over night in the airing cupboard or over a radiator.
Friend who uses disposables likes them when she looks after my boy as they are quite easy to use even if you are not used to cloth nappies. BUT, I send boy to Child minder in Bumbles.

They are my spares - a nice fit, but definately not good for nights for my little fella

makesachange · 12/03/2007 22:53

I quite like them as a general allrounder - usually advise a few in the pack - with the understanding that fit-wise they're not completely B2P.

Absorbancy wise they're usually fine for most for daytime use, but heavier wetters may have a problem. THey're certainly not a patch on bamboo.

They're easy to use, versatile, good value for money for the length of time you can use them, good and reliable quality and they come in organic cotton which I like

They dry pretty fast and if you can tumble them (even for 10 minutes) they stay nice and soft.

They don't stick to fleece liners/wipes because they're poppered and you don't need to have a nippa with you...

Most non-cloth users can figure them out...

They're a work horse. Others are better, others are worse, but they have a lot of good points.

Specifically re absorbancy they're a 3.5/5 star for me.

TBH they're not terribly exciting, are they

I tried tie dying mine to make em more exciting - but dopey here was used to dying nippa nappies... died em with the outside in, so I ended up with meos with a lovely sky blue inside, and one teeny blue splodge outside

LMAO

LadyOfTheFlowers · 12/03/2007 23:17

thanks for that info..... lol

at the baby show the meos woman tried to flog me one and when i told her i didnt geton with them and they were not very absorbant she looked horrified and said:
'even with the pop in booster?!'

then looked as if she was going to die! lol
I proceeded to buy a Sandy's as I wanted one but she was still not happy!
I agree with them being ok for an hour or so and for carrying around, but there is just nothing to them! lol

The main bulk of my stash are little lamb and i think they are wonderful - better than Tots - yes i said it!!
The tabs are slimmer so imo a better, less restricting fit. Plus you cant beat the fluffy liner.

i think meos are pretty cute, especially when folded for lit'luns.

i am not the only one who finds them average then?

Lady - I maintain they're a good allrounder, but if you're finding they're soaked through so fast then your LO is just a heavier wetter (which I think we established on another post ;-)

They work well for most people but no, they're not a cow.

@ not even with the snap in???!!!

LadyOfTheFlowers · 12/03/2007 23:24

it was her face! it was a picture.
i sort of said, really slowly:

'Ummm yes. even with the snap in' very quietly.

lmao

"They work well for most people but no, they're not a cow. "

Classic line....

I though they were great when ds2 was newborn but the fit is just dreadful now he is older. The pop in booster makes them very bulky and without it the legholes are baggy. Mine are the organic ones so were quite expensive but only really get used if I run out of anything else (rare!!). I'm sure if they were the only ones I'd ever had then they would be adequate though.
