Baby carrier advice needed

My little girl is 4 months and me and my OH are looking to get a baby carrier so we can go for country walks and places we can't use the pram.

There seem to be so many out there and not sure what to go for.

Has you got or had a LILLEbaby Complete All Seasons 6-in-1 Baby Carrier? If you have what did you think of it? I liked the idea of this one because baby can be in different positions and also because it can be adapted for hotter weather.

Also is it for baby to be in a carrier forward facing? I've read different opinions.

Do you have a local sling library? That's the best way to try a few out and then borrow one to see how you get one. At far as I know with my carpet (beco) baby should be facing inwards until can support their head and then only outwards for short periods. I always face my baby towards me if he's tired

I've just bought an Ergobaby 360 for my baby. I've only tried the parent facing front carry so far but DD seems happy in it and I find it really comfortable.

A sling library is a great idea. Lillebabys are great carriers. Forward facing is only recommended for short bursts of around 20 mins, once baby can properly support its own head, as otherwise they can get overstimulated. 4 months should be ok though. A back carry is a good option from once they can sit unaided if baby wants to look around. Any carrier you get should be ergonomic, to support baby's hip development. Have fun carrying!

I have the lillebaby from local sling library for DD2 (10 weeks). Have had it a month and just renewed it for another month. So far so good. You can use it so baby faces the front, just not until they can sit unaided. It is much more comfy (for me and her, I think) than the baby Bjorn I had with DD1. Agree you should borrow from sling library before buying; it's massively pricey if it doesn't suit you.

Ergo baby ones are the ones I would recommend

The Manduca is really excellent. I would recommend taking a look at that one.
