Any ideas for a great birthday present for my 2-year-old godson, born at 26 weeks?

Well the title says it all really. He's an absolute cutie and I adore him. He is of course very small for his age, and although he's able to hold onto things and haul himself up, he can't walk yet. I'd be really grateful for any ideas as I haven't got a clue. I'm looking to spend up to £50.

Cheers

Kte

Why don't you adopt a animal from a zoo for the year? Don't know where you are but there's a great little animal sanctuary near Gostone, Surrey, called Beaver World and you can adopt there. IMO it would be nice to spend £50 on something really different, rather than the usual toys that they have so much of.

is there anything that you could get him for the garden?

They do have loads of toys at this age so how about a newspaper from the day he was born as a keepsake (about £12 I think online) In the past I have bought cute towels for bathtime and waterproof pinny things for when they're splashing in water. (I know he may be young to do this now but will be doing soon)
Hope he has a great birthday

agree with blocks, stickle bricks, big lego etc. Or wooden trains (make sure ok for under 3's!) the sort with magnets on to link the carriages. Or an aquadraw mat so he can practise scribbling safely! my ds loves his, got it for his 2nd birthday

My dd got this for her first Christmas when she was just starting to walk and she loved it. If your godson is pulling himself up this will be perfect as he can play with it standing up and it will help to strengthen his little legs.

A wheely bug - brilliant when learning to walk as the wheels swivle unlike regular walkers and then great fun for ages to race about on (ds1 who is 7 can often be found racing about on the small size one we brought for ds1 when he was 1)
