Stopping a baby coughing at night

DD (almost 1 year old) currently has a cough, which is OK during the day, but is keeping her up at night - last night she woke up about once every 15 mins. We've tried raising one end of her mattress, Tixylix syrup and Snuffle Babe but without much effect. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to either deal with the cough, or help her sleep through it?

My two are both terrible coughers. With DD2 we have a humidifier in her room which we use when she has the cold, and the cough syrup stuff. Also Vicks on the feet but this only occasionally makes a difference.
DS 8months we only use saline drops and the elevated cot at one end so hoping for help too!

Ds coughed all night til we opened his window. . Never coughs now.

Thanks... we try saline drops too (which she hates). It feels a bit cold right now to open the window, but maybe that's the next step.

I was given an inhaler for ds2 because of a persistent cough at night. It was just to help open his airways not to stop the actual cough but it worked enough that the coughing was better and rarely woke him.
