Kids Birkenstocks

Does anyone have any experience with Birkenstocks for toddlers? Bought my daughter a pair in a toddler 6, but spotted online it says they may be unsuitable for under 3s (she is 2.4). Does anyone know the reason for this? As wondered why they would make them that small if they are no good! Thought would be perfect for her wide feet. Thank you.

No experience, but if I had to guess I'd think that it's because they have quite a stiff sole so maybe aren't flexible enough for early walkers.

My DSs both took a 5.5 as their first shoes at 12 months old so they wouldn't have been suitable. If your DD has been walking for a while then they will probably be fine.

Great thank you - she's been walking since 13 months so over a year. Think we'll give a go and see how she gets on, hopefully not an expensive mistake! Usually lives in Doc Martens. Thanks again.
