Newborn weight - when did your baby reach 13lbs?

DD is two weeks old and weighs nearly 11lbs - newborn nappies no longer fit. they're marked as up to 11lbs.

She was 9lb 13oz at birth.

Looking to bulk buy the next size of nappies to save money, not sure if getting over 100 of size 2 (up to 13lbs) I'll have loads left over?

I didn't realise babies grew so fast

Size 3 is 9-20lbs.. Will those be massive?! Or is it better to bulk buy those and start using them now?

How fast did your babies grow at first?

Mine is fine in size 3 at 10.2, can't help much with how quickly as she is 13wks and started off much smaller than yours

Like a flipping weed is how he grew! Still does. He was 9lbs1 at birth and 13lbs8 at 6 weeks, according to his red book.

DS was 9lb 12oz born, nearly 15lb at 6 weeks! I've got no idea what he weighs now at 15 weeks but the 6-9 clothes are starting to get a bit snug!

I wouldn't get too many size 2s. DS is in size 4s now when he's in disposables. DD was a slightly more normal size but I remember she was hardly in size 2s, but in size 3s longer.

Ds 8lb 11 born and probably about 4 months before he was that weight.

Dd 9lb 4 born and I think was that weight by 6 weeks

Dd is 5 months and hasn't hit 12lbs yet

I'd get the size 3s x

DS was 7lbs 4oz at birth, he doubled his birthweight by 10 weeks so he wa probably 13lbs at 8/9 weeks

I'd get size 3s - DS2 was 11lbs and size 2 only fitted for a couple of weeks

DS was 8 lbs at birth and 13 lbs at 2 months. We sailed through size 1 and 2 and had some left over. I wouldn't buy too many size 2s. Congratulations!

My bf baby has put on weight so quickly. Much quicker than my ff dd1. She was 11lb4oz at 6 weeks having been born at 7lb11oz. Size three nappies have been used since week 5 I think.

First baby put on at least half a pound a week from about 1 week old and was 13lb at 13 weeks. Doubled birth weight at four months. Tripled birth weight at 16 months. Not a big kid, mostly a bang on average one.

Second baby put on virtually nothing for the first few months then managed to 'pile on' a couple of oz a fortnight in fits and spurts and was 13lb at 28 weeks/6.5 months old. Was bigger at birth than baby one, too. Doubled birth weight at ten months. Triple birth weight by 2.5 years old.

You never can tell.

Well for a friend of mine her baby was 13 lbs 4oz at birth

Whereas for my dd it took around 6 months to achieve 13lbs despite being 7lbs 12oz at birth

Think my DD was about 6 or 7 months when she reached 13lbs!

About seven months? Mind, he was under 6lbs at birth.

DS was born 5lb 2oz and Is 5months and is 15lb 2oz. He didn't get to 13lb till he was about 3.5 months. He is in size 3 but has only recently gone into them. He was in size 2 till he was about 13/ 13.5lb so I wouldn't go on the weight.

When they are on offer I buy 2 of the size he is in and one of the next size
