Stokke Tripp Trapp Newborn Set?

Does anyone have this? I have had the Tripp Trapp chair and baby set since my toddler was 5 months and absolutely love it. With number 2 on the way I'm considering the newborn set but haven't seen it anywhere in person, just online. Am keen to see whether it can be used for daytime naps - is it lie flat or is it a bit like sitting in a car seat? It's a bit difficult to see from the pics. Looks good for keeping the baby up high and out of the way of inquisitive toddlers?!

I didn't use it for naps but it was great for awake time

We loved ours, its similar to one of those bouncer seats - laid back but not flat and def not scrunched up in the car seat position. It was great to have ds at the table with us from the start. Lovely and padded and not to much trouble to take off and wash.

We had this for both dc - then sold it l for almost full price! It's amazing; but not suitable for naps. It is not as bad as a car seat but still not ok.

Totally worth the cash. We never had a cold dinner and weaning was made soooo much easier because dd sat at the table from day dot.

I bought one for DD2 as I decided what we did previously putting the bouncer on the dining table was not a good idea with a toddler around.

We started using it more from the 3 month stage when DD2 was happier to be put down. It's nice to have her high up at the dining table as we spend a lot of time eating as a family. If she's a bit fractious and I suspect she'll complain the second i put her down then I tend to stick her in the bouncer instead, as it takes more time to strap her into the Tripp Trapp (obviously with it being high up you need to make sure it's fairly tightly fastened).

I think it's expensive for what it is but I'm a big fan of the Tripp Trapp (we now have one per child) so am glad we bought it. It will be really handy for starting weaning as it's better for smaller babies to sit in than the baby insert and i expect it can be used beyond six months.

It definitely can't be used for daytime naps though as others have said.

i have one for my 10 week old -its great! as its on the chair it doesn't take additional space, and the baby is out of the toddler's way

Thanks for your comments everyone! It's a shame it cant be used for naps - will have to find an alternative solution for that. Will definitely be buying a second seat unit though - DD loves sitting in it at nearly 2 while all her little friends refuse to get in their high chairs and she has lovely posture in it. When she sits in her plastic high chair at granny's house she looks all slumped and uncomfortable. Worth every penny IMO. Will have a think on the newborn set.

Everyone comments on how well behaved our 2yo is and the dinner table and I think the Tripp Trapp has a lot to do with that as it means she's really part of the family as wars like we do.

Will you have a buggy with a detachable carrycot? I use that for daytime naps and put it on the dining table so the toddler can't poke the baby!

Yes I think carry cot on the table may be the solution...I was a bit worried about the toddler pulling it down as she is able to climb up on chairs to reach it. I also have a play pen I could employ somehow to keep the toddler out. DD1 used to love just laying on her mat on the floor and falling asleep....not an option for this one with boisterous toddler running around!
