Had a bad day with 6yo, feeling a bit guilty (long)

The day started off badly, DS (6) refused to get ready (I had a busy day planned and wanted to be out early), he fought with his brother and messed around and when he eventually was ready he threw a massive strop because she shoes were not on tight enough (he has a thing for shoes not been as tight as they could be for some mad reason). This tantrum continued all the way down the street where he continuously hit me, kicked his brother and called me "fat head" and "stupid".

He was ok on the bus...

Got to asda where I warned both boys that I would be a while in the post office and if they behaved they would get a treat straight afterwards...so DS played up as much as he could disconnecting the queue barrier things, climbing on the sides, trying to wind his brother up, running around...as a result I refused to buy him a treat and just got his brother one...so massive tantrum from Asda to the bus stop.

When we got home he started messing about again, being naughty, hyper and cheeky so I busied him working in the garden which he seemed pleased with!

I promised they could help me bake a cake...so DS refuses to leave the kitchen whilst I sort the tins out and turn on the oven...when he does join in the help he messes about, nearly drops an egg and generally acted up so I sent him away and just made it with his elder brother....

By tea time I'd had enough of him, started to ignore him, made him get his pyjama's on at 5:30pm and he's just gone to bed now with a book

I feel like all I ever do is shout at him, ignore him or speak badly of him but he's so bloody annoying when he has days like this...anyone else get them or is it just me??
