Is it worth trying to start potty training?

Hi everyone, just looking for a bit of advice.

DS is nearly 23 months old, but was born 2.5 months early (still taken into account by HV!). We have another LO on the way due in July. Is it worth trying to get DS potty trained before LO arrives? He isn't really showing any signs of being ready yet... sometimes he seems uncomfortable if he's pooed but other times not bothered. Haven't tried him on a potty but have just bought one.... He watches us go to the loo often but he is at nursery 4 days a week so obviously things are different there! He is well able to follow simple commands, but has only recently started speaking and 'wee' and 'poo' or similar haven't come up yet!!

Keep reading lots of conflicting advice but just wondered if you experienced mums have any tips?

I'd wait, to be honest. If you don't think he's showing signs of being ready then he's not ready, many children aren't until they're getting on for 3.
