Right, now i've listened to all the advice, i use my prefolds for ds and they fit well, have 2 nappy nation shaped and one AIO for out and about. am awaiting delivery of 5 motherease multifit for dd (as the prefolds don't suit her as well as ds). Also have a few more wraps on the way as i never seem to have enough.

keep looking on your website flame and just need to ask..........do i seriously need more nappies??????

Oi! where did my response go??

makesachange · 09/03/2007 16:58

Stacey, no idea what happened there. What I asked was, what exactly do you mean? I mean, do you find you're struggling with the number you have or do you mean, do you need more brands?

staceym11 · 09/03/2007 17:12

OK, you say the prefolds don't work so well - what problems?

How old is she? What sort of shape and what weight?

What's your requirement (cost, absorbancy, ease of use)? Can you tumble?

Flamesparrow · 09/03/2007 20:25

Always

The obsession is natural

Would ask all of Emma's questions too....

staceym11 · 09/03/2007 21:25

shes 2.6yo, shes slim build and weighs 24lb, cost as cheap as pos but dont mind forking out if it's gunna suit her! yes iv got a tumble so thats not a problem!

We are usually in agreement here... wambamboos/bambineos.

They are slim, very adjustable, great containment and reeeeeeeeeally absorbant.

makesachange · 09/03/2007 21:47

At 2.6 I'd be surprised if you get much use out of the MEOS

They're really not brilliant fitting over 2-ish. Sorry.

I can do a Bambineo trial if you want to try one (and 10% of for Mumsnet members)

Emma

makesachange · 09/03/2007 21:48

I should have added - Bambineo will be the perfect fit, no problem, very absorbant and very slim, and good value!

Oh Flame does tie die ones which are cute. I just do the standard ones but will be bringing out a popper one soon.

Flame does tye die? Cool!

She sent my friend some plain bambineos to trail

MerlinsBeard · 09/03/2007 22:21

that missed the end off

should have said that they were just what she wanted

makesachange · 09/03/2007 22:50

There's a shock, Bambineos being just what she wanted.

hawhaw

Not that I'm a fan of them or anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MerlinsBeard · 09/03/2007 22:56

Are they really good? was just what flame had suggested for her, i know nothing!

makesachange · 09/03/2007 23:00

Provided you're ok to dry them, they're brilliant.

Like ALL bamboo nappies they take longer to dry than cotton.

I read the Mum and Baby mag awards (to Bamboozles today) and was shocked to see that they're still claiming that Bamboozles dry faster than cotton

Flamesparrow · 09/03/2007 23:06

I was disappointed that they have put that in the bambineo site/information. I know the science behind it is that bamboo dries faster than cotton, but that is with the same amount of fluids in it!!!

makesachange · 09/03/2007 23:12

Flame, I've not had much to do with the marketing of Bambineo. Let me know where this is and I'll see if I can clarify it/get rid of it.

Flamesparrow · 09/03/2007 23:25

click england , then bambineo, then bamboo... It was on the info pack thing I was emailed too.

I meant to mention it when we were on the phone the other day, but it spiralled into discussing wraps and why Emrys was screaming and I forgot Really should write more lists...

makesachange · 09/03/2007 23:27

Yes, you should have mentioned it then. Honestly Flame, can't you handle your child screaming and a phone conversation too?

But seriously, folks, I'll look into it. Thank you for letting me know.

xx

staceym11 · 09/03/2007 23:39

well iv got a 18 week old too so il get plenty of use out the ones iv got, thanks for the email flame, will look into finances and try and get a few! will let you know!

Its terrible.. I really should be able to do screaming child too (actually I was ignoring him, she was asking if he was ok ). He's worked out how to pick up the other phone now too, so he can scream at me direct
