DD 2.6 deliberately pooing next to the potty

have been potty training for about 6 weeks - all was going well but she has recently started not pooing in the potty and just doing it on the floor. I thought she had got caught short but today found her bent over the toy box right next to the potty - no sense of urgency - then witnessed her pushing out a big ole poo. I feel cross but don't want to make a massive issue of it and make it all worse. Reward charts work for a while but she seems to get complacent and I feel we are always having to up the ante and provide bigger and better rewards. We have tried threatening to put her back into nappies and she just cries and says 'me good girl mummy, me big now, poo poo on potty', she's made such great progress so far and I don't want to make it a punishment. Any ideas? or is it just a wait it out and not feed her curry thing?!

What about giving a chocolate button for doing it in the potty? My DS hated using the loo and had accidents and it was very difficult. My dh suggested a reward system and it worked instantly. We did 1 choc button for a wee and one jelly baby for a poo but at the age of 3. Obviously we don't have to do this any longer but it did work. Good luck.
