Custody after divorcing

My husband is divorcing me and wants 50/50 custody of our daughter. I have at last found somewhere to rent and move out today. My daughter does not want to live with her dad and is very upset. She is eleven and saying she will run away from him and is scared of him. HELP! What can I do? Applying to have sole residency with me will take months.

Why is she scared of him? If there is any EA or DV it is a different ball game

Have you spoken to a solicitor? Why are you moving out? Who does most of the childcare at the moment?

Are you in the UK OP? I am sorry your DD is already so distressed and am sure at 11 her thoughts on this would count for something in court - certainly the courts look at what is in the child's best interests.

I have no legal expertise but as suggested upthread you must get proper advice - maybe also look at these sites
