Joint birthday party etiquette

DD (2.5) has been invited to our neighbours son's 3rd birthday, which is a joint party with another 3-year-old. Do we just take a card and pressie for the child we do know, or a token gift/just a card for the other child as well?

I have met the other child and parents a couple of times, I think, as they're obviously friends of our friend, but we wouldn't otherwise be invited to their party.

Thanks!

I would definitely take a card but probably wouldn't take a present.

I think they'll likely end up with roughly equal amounts if their respective friends bring gifts.
