Waistband on Tots Bots Bamboozles- leaving red marks

I'm keen to use bamboozles as I want a slim fitting washable nappy, but the waistband is leaving red marks on dd. I can't really leave them any looser as poo/wee will escape.

Thinking about waiting until she fits 18lbs + size, as she's just under 13lbs now at 8 weeks so it won't be long at all. Thought that the fit may improve...Maybe there are some other nappies with a wide waistband that are not too bulky?

Any recommendatins or thoughts anyone?

Motherease one size have a flat waistband, so no issues with elastics They would fit her now, in the folded down version (but won't be ultra slim until she is bigger).

I would recommend a Bambineo nippa version so you don't have a waistband problem and you get the lovely slim fit you're looking for.

Bambineos come in nippa version unlike Bamboozles. Soon to have some with poppers, too.

If you wanted to try the meos that flame recommended i'm selling 2 on the for sale boards (also in this category)

Flamesparrow · 07/03/2007 20:47

I was leaning towards the meos because they have a much flatter waist than the bambineos at the back (I am a bit at me suggesting anything else )

me too Flame

I was thinking she meant the tummy area was getting rubbed by the waistband actually - maybe we need clarification!!!

My bamboozles rubbed a bit at first but as time has gone on they seem to have got more flexible around the waist and don't rub anymore-dd has also grown of course which could be a factor. Wambamboo (or whatever they are called now-bambineo??) are great!

makesachange · 08/03/2007 13:24

Yes, Bambineo

Thanks folks - yes - it's the area around the waist, particulary on the back that was red after wearing them.

Thanks for the advice - I'll have a look at those other nappies - I'm going to give the bamboozles a few more gos as well.

MNetters is so good for this sort of thing!
