Fingers food for 6 month old with teeth

That's it really. My little man had two teeth by the time he was 4 months.

Now I'm weaning him I'm more cautious of fingers foods he can bite for fear of choking.

Didn't have this problem with DS1 who didn't have any teeth until later.

Anyone have any tips to avoid him biting and choking?

Cut food into chip/finger size pieces.

Also google the difference between choking and gagging - choking is silent, gagging is baby doing what they're supposed to do to prevent choking.

My eldest got teeth from 4 months. She had 11 by 11 months!

Grate things. A pile of grated cheese keeps them occupied for ages. Grated apple.

Thin cucumber, melon sticks.

Steamed thin carrot sticks. Small steamed broccoli or cauliflower florets.

You can get tiny star shaped pasta shapes or macaroni pasta.

Just always sit next them. They get the hang of it quite quickly.
