Kickboxing for 5 year old

What are peoples thoughts on starting a child in kickboxing at 4/5years old.
We have a local club and ive been along with my son to see how its run.
They seem to do game style warm up about 30 mins running threw expectations (bows/standing still etc) (i guess teaching respect early) and practicing kicks and combination moves
Then they play a game to finish. Or team races.
This class is for under 6's i think

My son wants to go but he wants to go just for the games! He has no interest in the standing still practicing technique bit.
Should i send him in the hope that he'll pick up the actual kick boxing bit in time
Or should i wait until hes older and more focused.

I think its good they play games in a way as it keeps the sport fun. They are all very little in the class im sure endless drills would bore them or switch them off.

That is fine, I go to a kickboxing Dojo myself and they do kids classes. Most do a taster session, try and see how he gets on.

I will but if he has more fun during the games and loses interest learning the actual kick boxing part should i keep going anyway?! I mean is it better he enjoys going at this young age than actually learns much
