What are the magic words?

I'm amazed that so many people say that there are only two magic words. Growing up I was taught four; hello, please, thank you, good bye.

I think greetings are important because it lets a child know they're a guest in someone's home and just be respectful, behaving accordingly.

How may magic words do you have and what are they?

The only "magic word" I've ever heard people ask small children for, is 'Please'

I would did absolutely encourage my dc to speak politely to everyone, learn social skills etc., but I've never heard them called 'magic words'.

Reminds me of ds2 aged about 3
I asked "what's the magic word?" Expecting this to prompt him to say please.
His response?
"Cake"

I only ever knew "please" as the magic word.

I was expected to have good manners and say the others you mentioned, but "the magic word" was please.
