Son keeps setting off mousetraps

A couple of weeks ago we got a few mice in the house, I set a few traps and the mice were caught and we've not seen one since. I set more traps however just in case.

Now my son (8) keeps going around setting them off, it's driving me nuts, he doesn't see the danger in them no matter how many times I tell him, he also keeps denying that it's him triggering them. Is this normal behaviour for an 8 year old?

Put them somewhere he can't find them.

Get humane traps which aren't so much fun to set off, and which aren't dangerous.

Does your dh wear his clogs and lady's cardigan when he disposes of the mice?

I think your 8 year old is the least of your worries, dear.
