Boys toileting, please help!!!

Ds has been toilet trained since about november and is recently wanting to stand up to do a wee, ehich is fine. But now we have had 2 incidents of pooing whilst standing up, once a tnursery. Is this normal or should I persisit with sitting down?

It's all part of the whole process I think.

You just need to tell the wee darling that standing is only for weeing otherwise he needs to sit down.

That's what I tell DT2 and that's what I hope he will one day agree with. Sigh.........

So sorry, can't help here (but am really intrigued! I'd never considered this!!).

I'm thinking... I did the nappies (mostly). Perhaps the next stage (DS is 2.5) can all be DH's domain...

After all, I've had the wees in the face - perhaps it's his turn for poos on the feet!!

DS2 did attempt 'standing up poos' a few times but fortunately this involved standing with his behind hovering over the toilet. He soon gave up (but still sometimes forgets to put the seat down and perches shivering on the porcelain)

If i've caught him at it then I've quickly got hime to it sit down. Then just keep reinforcing that wee comes out his tail & poo from his bottom, an d he must it down when doing a poo. (sorry if tmi ) Just worried I'm going to give him a complex or something.
