Anyone else feel/felt like this?

My lo's 5weeks he's now getting to big to lie comfortably on my chest and sleep. In two weeks he's gone from extra small newborn to newborn to 0-3. I'm loving this baby stage and I'm scared he's growing so quickly, every day he looks different. I'd love to start trying again for another one, my partner dotes on him and loves being a family but can't believe I'm pregnant again. My head agrees to just enjoy our time with lo and adjust to being new parents but my heart says otherwise. Anyone else get broody straight away?

Yes a lot of people will feel like that - some will have another and it will go well or it won't, some won't act on it and it will go well or it won't. 5 weeks is really very young and there is still a lot to learn - please don't have another on the basis that he's getting too big to fall asleep on you!

I can only speak from personal experience andaround 3-9 months I felt the same desire for another baby as you describe. When my DS began to crawl, nap less, want entertained and throw tantrums because he couldn't express himself I changed my mind. I also found it difficult to adjust when I went back to work. Now he's 19 months I feel ready for another and am very glad we didn't TTC during that first year.
