2 months and too big for bouncer... now what?

My little man is a stocky boy. He's gaining weight rapidly (3 pounds since birth!!!) He's now 12 pound 9. I bought him a bouncer from mothercare, he loves it. Especially the vibrate function it keeps him snoozing for hours. But he's getting too long for it already and I can't seem to find any options for something he can relax in through the day.

I don't want to put him in his moses or his pram because he loves being able to have a look around, watch some tv and interact with me and his dad.

Does anyone know what I could get him?? Advice would be great thank you xxx

Fisher price do an infant to toddler rocker that fitted my boy much longer than the standard bouncers

FATEdestiny · 12/02/2017 09:56

I had the Fisher Price bouncer.

My 91st centile chunk of a baby guy into it until 6 months. Could have for longer but we moved to cot naps at 5 months when naps extended.

It must be a rubbish, tiny bouncer if your baby is outgrowing it at 2 months old.

I'd buy the Fisher Price one.

Bouncers for daytime naps are absolutely invaluable in my opinion.

Fisher price infant to toddler is brilliant I've used one for both my children. Both big babies and used up until 2.

Babybjorn one is amazing and lasts for well over a year.

We've got the babybjorn babysitter as it does up to 2 years- well maybe not for our chunky wonders- I'll check out the weight.

Another vote for the bjorn - it was brilliant for mega tall DS2. Get second hand if you can!

ReginaGeorgeinSheepsClothing · 12/02/2017 21:22

Says up to 13kg

Fisher price infant to toddler rocker is amazing. Dts were in them for 18 months.

The fisher price rockers are brilliant. You can also get a 3in1, which is a swing, infant rocker and toddler rocker. My lo loved the swing, and the chair.

Another vote for the fisher price infant to toddler rocker. We had to upgrade from our original smaller fisher price bouncer for the exact same reason as you, by 3 months our DDs bum was touching the floor through the seat!

The bigger one is great until they can sit up, then a bit useless for a while until they are a proper toddler, but then you can clip the back into a more upright position and it becomes a lovely rocking chair for them.

My DD is 9 months and 21 lbs and just too big for her baby Bjorn now. Not that she has been interested in it for a while.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I'll take a look at the Fisher price and baby bjorn .... and hope the wee man stops growing quite so rapidly, otherwise I may have a 5 foot tall toddler! X
