My 11 year old DS1 (year 6) wants to have Skype as 'all his other friends' have it. I've just looked it up and the recommended age is 13.
I have a Skype account which I use for work, but I created it ages ago so am not sure whether you have to put in your age when you register.
I obviously, don't want him lying about his age just to get an account, and am reluctant in some ways to let him have it because of all the other implications, but would be grateful for some feedback on others' experiences.
