I try so hard to be like that, but after th e tenth time in one day, grrrr.

Sparkler1 · 27/02/2007 17:30

Having a bad day Misdee?

Porpoise · 27/02/2007 17:31

Me too, misdee!
Mind you, have sneaking suspicion that those who remain serene and calm in face of child wreaking destruction are a bit WEIRD...

Misdee, I am one of those mothers, and you should see the squalor I live in. I can't tell them off because I'm twice as bad myself.

You don't really want to be, honestly

twelveyeargap · 27/02/2007 17:33

Probably because you're not the sort of person who can live in a tip, even just whilst the kids are up. Anyway, imo, it's good training for them to be careful. They can't go round their whole lives just wrecking places.

And yes, I'm like you!

Oh I wish I was too Misdee.
Had a friend and her dd and baby round this morning and couldn't wait for them to leave so I could get the hoover out.
Crumbs and baby sick everywhere and there was me saying "oh it doesn't matter-not a problem" and inwardly screaming.

fryalot · 27/02/2007 17:52

I wish I could be one of those mothers who are constantly clean and tidy.

NotanOtter · 27/02/2007 17:52

have a couple more misdee
i have 5 and was much more uptight with earlier ones
i am chilled now
either that or ad's

Whoooosh · 27/02/2007 17:56

Oh no you don't Squonk-it's blardy knackering!

fryalot · 27/02/2007 17:58

I want to be able to invite people round without tidying up first. It's not that it's that messy, it's just that I am houseproud but without the inclination to do anything about it, iyswim.
