Advice baby sleeping

I need some quick advice MN! I have booked and paid for my 6 week old to start sensory in 45 mins but she is asleep! Should I wake her to start getting ready or just let her sleep and miss the sensory?

How long is the session and how far do you need to drive?

charley3005 · 24/01/2017 09:30

It's for an hour and it's a 15 min walk away

I'd probably wake my baby up as he would go back to sleep in the pram. But if you know she'll be unhappy if you wake her maybe turn up late if she wakes up?

With my pfb I'd have let her sleep and probably have missed out on the class. My second is 6 weeks old and I'd get her into the pram and go. I wouldn't wake her up as such, but if she wakes then so be it. She'll drop back off in the pram if she needs it.

She'll be due a feed at about 1030 so would you feed her when you got there? As you can tell this is my first proper outing with her other than the shops so very clueless

I go to baby sensory classes and it's very laid back and baby led if you need to feed or change baby then you just go ahead and do it. I'd get everything ready and then wake and pop her in the pram last.

panad317 · 24/01/2017 09:47

I'd feed her there too, you'll know exactly what is right, don't worry. Enjoy your morning Smile

How did it go OP?

charley3005 · 24/01/2017 21:35

Woke her up to put her coat on, she went back to sleep in her pram woke up herself when we got there and she stayed awake through it all and I fed her at the end! Was really good thank you all for your advice

Excellent! Glad it all worked out. It's nice when everything comes together well. That'll be you away with your outings now! Enjoy.
