Taking baby on school run

Ds1 is at school part time. Ds2 is a month old. I'm wondering how other people keep ds2 warm on school run. He doesnt wear a coat/snow suit type thing in the car seat at all. When I get to school I either open the pram, pop him in his snow suit and then in the pram.........takes a few minutes. Other times I carry him, but struggle with getting him in his coat/suit as they can be quite fiddly and he loves keeping his arms/legs bent!

Basically I'm asking what others do and whether there's an easier option or is it just a case of 'stop complaining and just get on with it!'.

I used a morrck blanket in the car seat and put the car seat on the pram frame.

I usually have her in the sling in a snowsuit.

If in the car seat I put her in a hat and warm fleece (not bulky) and wrap a blanket over the top when outside.

You can use a star wrap in the car seat.

A Morrck blanket is much safer to use in a car seat than a snowsuit or coat.
