What time does your 12 year old go upstairs to read and go to bed?

It varies, between 9 and 10, Scouts doesn't finish till 9 so one night is late because of that. I usually go upstairs with him around 9, we read and chat in my room then he goes off to bed around 9.30. I don't check him again so no idea if he puts the lights straight out but he's rarely tired and has no difficulty getting up in the mornings.

Thanks for the replies. I've been at work. Yes, I think I'm going to have to make it about 9 now as she's having trouble sleeping.

DS usually goes up at 9.15. Can be later at the weekend or if Scouts is on.

9pm on a school night, between 9.30-10.30 at the weekend.

lights out at 9pm in Y8, the house assistants give them a few minutes and will intervene/ go back into their room if they are unsettled.
At home so weekends and holidays any time she wants, but she tends to keep the same hours as school maybe 10/11pm
