7 weeks old - tell me about yours!

So our little one is 7 weeks old and had been having 4-5hour spells between feeds (120-140mls per feed), usually awake for an hour before each feed for play/awake time. All been great and felt rather lucky.

Now, the past few days he's been struggling to take anymore than 100mls (best case) and has therefore been wanting to feed 2-3hrs. He's also been having a lot of awake time during the day (don't mind this ) and sleeping the same overnight..Apparently our HV says this is due to a growth spurt...

Anybody experiencing the same at the same age(or thereabouts?)

Should definitely be doing feeds every 2 to 3 hours during the day, 4-5 hours is much too long between feeds in the day. I don't think there's any problem with only 100ml at a time at this age as long as he's gaining weight. Sounds about right to me.

Our DS is 8weeks and he is doing the same pretty much. Used to guzzle down 180mls per feed every three hours during the day and go 4-6hrs between feeds at night. Now he's back to three hours both night and day and taking between 90mls and 150mls per feed. no idea why, maybe he's just finding a good balance. I wouldn't worry unless he isn't gaining weight or just plain refusing to feed

Typical growth spurt behaviour. Never take any routine for granted with babies; it always changes.

My DS usually takes 4.5-5oz every 2 1/2 - 3 hours during the day and sleeps for around 3 hours. At night he will take about the same milk but usually has slightly longer gaps of eating- between 3-31/2 hours. Last night we went 5 1/2 hours between feeding and had the best night since bribing him home!

My 7 week old feeds roughly every 2.5 or 3 hours during the day. Nights are similar too - sometimes get one 3.5 hour break if we're 'lucky'. He was going longer at night time 3 weeks ago, so I'm hoping is is just a growth spurt... He usually takes about 4 ounces per feed. Anyone elses baby similar to this?

Our baby has settled again to his usual 4/5hr routine and takes four - five ounces. If he has a small feed he usually takes a bigger feed the next time.
He definitely had a growth spurt, gone from just fitting snug in his upto 1month last week to fitting comfortably in 0-3 where has our newborn gone

Yes my daughter would change her eating habits around a growth spurt
