Baby carrier wraps?

Can you give me your reviews with wraps that you have found the best please, links would be very much appreciated.

Have a 7 week old with silent reflux who won't be put down, hopefully this will make life a little easier. X

I don't know if this is what you are after but I like our ergobaby carrier. More structure than a wrap / sling but better on the back and more supportive for LO imho

The Close Caboo was a lifesaver for my refluxer. Soft and cosy like a wrap but easier to put on and off. Hold their value really well for resale too. Used it till about 5 months.

Also crucially for a reflux baby, the Caboo is machine washable and can be tumble dried on low.

I have the Close Caboo organic carrier/wrap. It's a wrap but requires no knotting - it's brilliant. I tried a Moby wrap and hated it. I could never get it tight enough on my own. This caboo wrap is so easy to tighten and fit.

DD didn't have reflux but I had a Moby and loved it. It was comfy for me, I could take her out and slip to one side to BF, didn't have to take it on and off throughout the day, I could loosen it and actually feed her whilst she was sitting in it. Will definitely use for next baby.
Last until she was about 6m when we used BabyBjorn more (and also got a Connecta eventually for back carries too).

I have the following:

Boba stretchy wrap
Ergo 360
Connecta

The caboo and the Boba are best for young babies. I personally prefer the Boba as I could get it nice and tight, the caboo I found would begin to bag a little feeling less secure.

I carried my daughter for 14 hours a day until she was about 3 or 4 months, she needed the security. She is now 5 months, and incredibly strong. She rolled over at 3 months, the first time she ever lay on the floor, and has been sitting up unaided for about 2 weeks (so since 4.5 months), I think all of this isdown to 'wearing' her.

In terms of carriers for slightly older babies, I love the Connecta. It's easy to use and very compact. I personally am not a fan of the Ergo... very fiddly and bulky and not especially comfortable if you're petite...

These wraps can I do them on my own? Probably a silly question, I've tried one on and baby loved it but my friend put it on me. X

I have a snugiwrap which is easy to tie once you've got the hang of it and they're pretty cheap. It's good for little babies and round the house, but for long walks with bigger babies I love my ergo.

Have you got a sling library near you? I'd really recommend trying a few out.

I used to get the middle bit on my chest, flick one 'tail' round my back and over one shoulder, the other tail round the other side, tuck through the middle bit then go round the back and tie in front of tummy again. It was much quicker after a bit practise and as I said, was very comfy for me so I'd leave it on most of the day.

Look for your local sling library. They will offer advice, teach your how to do it and you can hire a sling for a very low price.

Another one for the Close Caboo for my refluxy 6 week old. Unlike the rigid carriers it allows you to get on and do things as it doesn't get in your way - with rigid ones I always felt like I was doing things at arms length which wasn't comfortable. It's a bit of a faff to get the hang of but once you do its really quick and simple to put your baby in it. It's allowed me to take my 6yo to his swimming lessons and help him get dressed and washed etc. Dd loves it and snuggles in and sleeps blissfully.

Caboo is easy peasy on your own once you have a practice run with a doll or teddy or something. Lots of you tube videos.

Have ordered the Caboo. Thanks so much for all your help. Hope she settles, it's so hard as I have two boys as well, and she won't be put down at all.
