Saw on Breakfast TV this morning the new report by the Childrens' Commissioner on safeguarding children on-line. Some excellent recommendations including setting up a Digital Ombudsman, teaching Digital Citizenship in schools and working closer with App providers such as Instagram, Twitter to make their terms and conditions clearer and understandable for children. Glad this is getting rolling as social media for kids is really getting out of hand, is un-policeable by parents and causing so much teenage anxiety. Looking forward to hearing how this report is received by the Department of Education and the App companies themselves.
