weaning - stupid question

I am hoping you will all tell me I'm making a fuss about nothing. .. I gave my DC2, 5 months, who is ready for some food her first taste of something proper this afternoon.

I haven't read up this time, second baby and all that.

I gave her some carrot and apple purée, which she really seemed to like.

I had previously roasted the carrots for an adult meal. I boiled them a little softer today for her, before blending with the apple.

i've just realised I put honey on them before roasting.

And I remember honey is a big no no for little babies. Will I have boiled it off?! Or should I be worried?
Am I absurd?!

It will probably be ok. I would recheck the NHS weaning info as weaning before 6 months is a definite no.

If you wait until 6 months you can do baby led weaning and then you won't have to purée anything.

It is probably ok, just this once. Especially if it's been roasted and then boiled, probably would have come off! My son loved purred apples and carrots too :D
