When to start potty training?

My dd is 18 months, and I was just wondering when is it usually best to start trying? I know of one mum who's dd is the same age and is potty trained already.

You could start introducing potty now... but as for a more active campaign -- depends on your frustration levels! This thread talks about signs of readiness.
