Throwing food

My 2.5 year old has started throwing food on the floor. It seems to be when she's had enough. She has good understanding so we've tried telling her to let us know when she's finished, ignoring it, telling off, being disappointed. Nothing helps. I am so fed up of picking bits of food of the floor and the endless mopping.

Any ideas? She went through a phase of this when she was a baby which I think is pretty normal but moved past it.

DD1 is 21mo and we tell her if she doesn't want something she can take it off her plate and put it on the table. Also when she's finished we've taught her to put her cup and plate onto the dining table from her high stool tray. It seems to work most of the time - she gets to object to things and letsus know when she's finished without me having to crawl under the table to clear up!
