How reliable are your children at doing chores?

I really want to know if I am expecting too much here.
My DS is 9 and has ADHD but I am trying to gauge what is "normal". I don't ask much of him other than to make his bed (literally pull the duvet over and put pyjamas under his pillow), bring his dirty plates to the sink after meals, help tidy toys before bed and the very occasional other job like putting dirty washing in the machine or a little bit of dusting.
The problem is seem I have to remind/nag about these jobs all the time. He will have a great couple of days then starts to avoid/forget them again. He then gets cross when I remind him. His pocket money is linked to his doing these jobs but that doesn't seem to be a motivator.
How reliable are your kids at these sorts of things? Am I just asking too much?
