What time do your kids go to bed at the weekend?

I've just done a ring around of my pupil's parents and was a little concerned that by the time I got to the end of my list it might be a little late (I started at 8.30pm)

However at almost all the houses though the children answered, some of them 5 or 6. So I guess it wasn't too late.

Ds is almost four and in bed at 7pm, is bedtime really going to move this far into the evening in just 2 short years?

I have 9yr old and 11yr old cousins who still go to bed at 7.30pm. They are allowed to read in bed but 9/10 times they are asleep by 8.15pm

Im going to try and hold on to an early bed time for as long as I can get away with it!

Both in bed by 7.30 during week (6 and 3), Friday and Saturday perhaps 8, 8.30, but they are normally ready for sleep by 8 anyway.

nearlyfourbob · 16/02/2007 08:18

So, none of your kids would be answering the phone at 8.45pm?

Lol, no

My 2 and 4 year olds go to bed by 8 at the very latest at weekends, more usually it is 7.30.

dd is 15 so at weekends stays up til midnight sometimes but she is sensible and often takes herself up to bed at 10pm if she is tired.

ds1 is 13 but gets very grumpy if he doesn't go to bed by 9.30 (10pm at the latest).

ds2 is almost 11 and he too needs quite a bit of sleep still so he's in bed by 9 on weekends.

same time as during the week - 7pm

nearlyfourbob · 16/02/2007 08:25

I shouldn't be surprised though as I went to the gym 7pm -8pm and there were loads of preschoolers being wheeled out as I got there, and the pool was full of 9/10 year olds when I left.

I am old fogey!
