Urgent Help. Ds1 has just announced he needs to dress up as William Morris tomorrow for school

Being a high functioning autistic he truly believes that telling me 13 hours before he needs it is enough time for me to whip up a costume resembling aforementioned gentleman. What the hell did William Morris look like? All I can find is pictures of his wallpaper and pictures that make him look distinctly like a pre-war Russian person (i.e all hair - on top and on a massive beard that would put Father Xmas to shame). Now, what do I do?

Easel, smock, beard and maybe a card with one of his little epithets on it?

"Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful" kind of thing is what I mean

Wrap him in wallpaper?

Blimey, I don't think I could rustle up a William Morris costume even with lots of notice! He just looks like a bloke in a suit with a big beard!

Did school really want him dressed up like this? It's quite a big ask!!

That's a charmingly unusual one! Does he have a suit that fits him? Any chance of a Santa beard lying around, or from a Spar type shop still open, that could be trimmed to be wildy and scraggly?

Several pics show no tie, which makes it easier.
You almost certainly don't have any bits of Morris fabric around, but if there were a few days to get an offcut from somewhere, I'd think about making a bow tie or cravat from one.

Is it William Morris the artist or William Morris of Morris Motor co. (Morris Minors etc)?

If you have a colour printer, go onto a wallpaper site and see if you can print off some of the close ups. Then you can staple them together in a couple of fans and he can waft them to show off "his" handiwork.

Then the rest can be generic old bloke.
