Hello all. I'm taking my 4 month old dc abroad to visit my family but dp can't come with. We're going for 2 weeks which I know isn't long, but I'm worried it will affect their bond. Has anyone else done this? How was it between your dc and dp when you got back?

Hi I took my DS when he was 5 months back to the uk for a month to visit family and DH could only join for the last week as he doesn't get much holiday. Did the same in the summer when he was 14 months. Made no difference to his bond with DH. He was all about daddy when DH arrived the last time (he's a right daddy's boy anyway). Was lovely that he got to bond with grandparents for that time

Thank you, that's reassuring! Smile
