Cabin fever

Help! I am currently going slightly bonkers from cabin fever. I have a 5 year old and 4 month old who have both been poorly lately. In almost a week I have left the house twice, once to go to the surgery 5 minutes from my house and once to go to the supermarket. I am going crazy! 😭 DS2 has a temperature and needs to stay at home. I am enjoying cwtching him but may go slightly loopy if I spend one more day sat in the same chair in my pajamas! Lol. I am even envying hubby getting to do the school run!

Unless it's something like chicken pox then get the kids wrapped up and get outside. Will do all of you good. When your husband gets home (assume he's at work) make sure you're dressed and head out for a coffee/glass of wine/aimless wander round Tesco. Staying in the house isn't good for anyone!

It's not chicken pox thank god! He's been dosed up on calpol and is having lots of cwtches. Hubby is off this week and has been doing the school run. Due to hubbys hours he takes our son to school and picks him up while I stay in the house with the baby. I am really missing seeing our son going into school/coming out and seeing all the mums. Hubby gets all the gossip now. Ha! He's back now and we are going out. Hurrah!

I would take 4 month old out if they just have a temperature. Wrap them up in pram, add raincover to stop wind on them and you can go for a walk an hour each day at least.

Hi op, I think my 10 month old has chickenpox so we are now in lockdown. I feel like I've already got cabin fever and it's only been 2 days and we went to the doctor yesterday so only one full day in the house.

Today has felt very long. I was counting down the minutes until my husband came home. It's tough as we usually go to a group every morning and old for a walk, to the garden centre, shopping etc every afternoon. I can feel myself slowly loosing the plot already...

Summer - I would also say you can take your 10 month old for a walk even with chicken pox. If you just walk locally away from people, stick to outside and leave him in pram with rain cover over he can't spread it to anyway.

Once they have the spots they are fine for a walk surely?
