Hi All,

Please help, my 17 month old DD has been having horrendously runny poo's that have been burning her bum & surrounding areas but has cleared up.
However, from the first nappy change this morning - she's acting like she's been abused!
She'll let me wipe her bum no problem, but she will scream out in agony if I try & go anywhere near her vagina to wipe it, just after a wee!
She shakes with pain, I've tried just having a look but she struggled & will do anything in her power to not let me anywhere near it!
Have been using cream given to me with possible yeast infection having been diagnosed before - nothing.
She screams, cries, will NOT let me touch it.
No diet change, normal poos again, bathed daily....
Please help me she makes me feel so guilty but I just want to help Sad

Yellow metanium cream works miracles

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 07/11/2016 20:01

I wouldn't worry about trying to look at it for now, it's obviously causing her more trauma. Just assume it's very sore and treat as best you can.

It is awful when your child is in pain, but try to stay calm and comfort her as best you can. It's treatable and she will get better. Flowers
As suggested, doctors in the morning or 111 for more advice.

Yeah she's lived in metanium the last few days! It worked reasonably well on the ass rash from the sore poos. But after the awful shits went & solids started, there was no rash. But now just the whole vagina thing!
Might get an app in the morning, thanks for the advice about a nappy test!

For anyone who's interested - have got an appointment at 11 this morning for docs, she's no better about it being wipes this morning even after no cream just to give it some air to breathe over night.
Will keep updated. Thank you all for your help.

poor little lady - hope the doctor has some help for her!

How is she doing?

InfinityTimesInfinity · 11/11/2016 10:40

Hi all. She's much better now thank you.
Dr just said it could be the after affect of the acid type pooing & informed me I could spread bepanthen within the lips etc to soothe any pain.
I don't think this helped & I think it went away naturally on it's own after a few more days but, back to normal now & I'll never know x
