Please can anyone advise me as to what bed guard I can use for a Mamas & Papas Aspen Cot bed. I would like my daughter to make the change from a cot to a bed. We bought the Aspen cotbed to help this transition. However we now have found that most be dguards will not work as the base is 'sunken in'. Does anyone have any ideas?????Please...

i haven't bothered with bedguards - we have toddler beds.
for the first few days I've just put a duvet folded down on the floor
but neither have ever fallen out

Yes, I also think bedguards are just a marketing thing. And I fell for it for dd1.

We did the same as hana with the others and also put some bolster type thing on the bed alongside them for a few days. Once they were asleep laid them on their sides facing the wall with their backs against the bolster so they couldn't turn.

I have thought about not putting a guard up also. It's just that she moved herself around the cot so much I think she would fall out, howvere about 1 month ago (when I orginally bought the stupid bed guard which I then returned) I bought her a duvet & pillow set and explained to her that her head must stay on the pillow. In the mornings I have found here in the same position as i put her in the night before. so maybe she won't fall out now. Perhaps I will try her without one. Any other views welcome.......
