Cranial osteopathy for colic - any tried?

Just that really, I'm considering trying it on my 6 week old who is really suffering from colic.

infacol seems to just give him runny poos

I tried it for a few weeks and it made no difference. I have friends who swear by it. The only thing that helped us was changing to anti colic formula milk instead of breast milk. I feel your pain.

We tried it, although my son was a bit older than 6 weeks I think. He cried all the time as a baby. I don't know how much of a difference the c.o. made; at the time I know we felt it did. For me, it was worth it just to have someone else 'in charge' and accepting a baby would cry. The second time we went he didn't cry the whole time we were there, it was great.

I took my DD2 as she was just a really unhappy baby. Never settled or slept and cried constantly. I'm not sure it made any real difference but the 30 minutes she had her head massaged was bliss. She relaxed, was calm and slept well for a few hours afterwards. She's now 16. Still stroppy but has a beautifully shaped head!

We went more than once btw. I think it was weekly for about 12 weeks. I really looked forward to it!

We did this for dd2. I really wish we did this for dd1 first, but anyway, we had two sessions and she was brilliant. She was sleeping through at 9 weeks and bf.

Give it a go.

We went once. I think it helped but we did a few things. Dummy was a life saver.
We also went into neonate. I had one colic and one puker (twins) so both ended up on it.
Usual thing of elevated etc helped

I'll definitely give it a go now, it breaks my heart to see him cry and suffer.

Gp recommended anti colic formula too and I want to avoid that and continue breastfeeding so hopefully the c.o. will help!

I know of several people, including a couple of close friends, who have had this done for their babies (colic and also just general excessive crying) and all seem to have had miraculous results!! I was quite skeptical at first but am completely converted! Most were also "fixed" after just a couple of sessions

I don't think it's harmful in any way so definitely worth a try

Seriously, it's woo bollocks. Save your money.

I tried it and it made no difference whatsoever. I was very surprised - with all the people saying it had worked so well, I had expected that it was a proper therapy, but its all about waving your hands over the head - not even touching it - and being woo. On the other hand, I enjoyed the experience (she did both of us) because it was the first time since having DS that I had got to lie down in a lovely scented calm room and have someone ask me detailed questions about my health and DS's behaviour and actually listen to the answers like they cared. That was lovely. But not really worth £50 or however much it was.
